25th December-Mohammad Ali Jinnah, Quaid-e-Azam

Its 25th December, an unforgettable and most memorable day in the life of every Pakistani; the day when the person who gave his heart and soul in the birth of this piece of land ,called Pakistan, was born, and who was none other than the greatest, par excellent Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah.

Our ancestors saw it with their own eyes, and we read it in history books that had it not been Quaid-e-Azam we would have never got Independence. But the harsh irony of the present times is that every 25th December we praise and sing about him, we tell everyone who and how he was but we have never followed the example he left for us. Everything about him is etched in our memories but we never seriously attempt to mould our personalities and characters as was his, we have undoubtedly failed in this regard. To add salt to injury some section of our nation is still fighting on the ideas of our Quaid and raising questions whether they were right or wrong; pathetic, hopeless.

Actually it’s difficult. People in this part of the world have religiously followed, almost in letter and spirit, the culture, the fashion, the education, the language, and almost everything of others and alienated their own home grown version. The result, firstly, what was ours, never got known and second, the positive change in the societal customs and traditions as it progresses could never see light.

The resilience, proactive attitude, integrity, and self-belief our Quaid-e-Azam possessed must be replicated by the youth of Pakistan today, as this is the very time we are in dire need of it.

The situation in Pakistan is not that bleak, yes, there are problems, drawbacks but the better aspect is that we do have solutions to them as well. It’s a matter of adoption, application and then of propagating the principles that we have learnt so far from our leaders and from our religion as well.

Quaid-e-Azam once said, “My message to you all is of hope, courage and confidence. Let us mobilize all our resources in a systematic and organized way and tackle the grave issues that confront us with grim determination and discipline worthy of a great nation.’’

He also said, We should have a State in which we could live and breathe as free men and which we could develop according to our own lights and culture and where principles of Islamic social justice could find free play.”

The charisma he possessed, along with his speaking and writing style, even his gait and impeccable manners made him a proud leader worthy to be followed and undoubtedly the best. This is what compels us to follow and adopt the ways of our leader who with the rest of the Muslim League gave us what we today call Pakistan.

I have faith that we would soon see the reflections of our Quaid in the nation, and this nation would become, as it was dreamt of, one of the most respectable, beautiful and virtuous as ever.

Thank you so much for writing a post on the great politician.
Mr Jinnah envisioned Pakistan with the eyes of Dr Allama Iqbal.
Unfortunately, Qauid's vision remained not fully realised as his untimely death made the nation an early orphan.
Now, God Almighty has taken a suo motto notice of the present ailing condition of Pakistan and blessed the nation with another gift namely, IMRAN KHAN.
CJP Mr Choudhary and now IK (PIT)--trust me, it's one last chance for Pakistan to float back up to the surface to continue sailing to the shore.
