Morality Endangered!!

Yes, I can’t put it more simply!!!

We’re deep down in moral crises (plural form!!). Knowingly or unknowingly we’re avoiding to face this truth. We are lying to ourselves. Almost daily, rather every next minute of our life we are faced

with a Moral crisis and we try to shut our eyes from it as if nothing wrong has happened. What could be more  worse and perverse when we as human beings have lost the realization of this very fact so evident in our societies today.

What went wrong??

We got lost in the race to become ‘Highly qualified Professionals’, to become financially superior than the rest, to conquer multiple levels of education but literally forgot that our Souls also needed ‘nourishment’ and thus ended up with souls like barren and dry lands; completely futile and useless.

We started giving quantitative aspect of knowledge and experience much more preference than the moral gains we ought to have had absorbed in the process.

Morals are imperative for Humanity, Love, and most importantly for Wisdom to survive. A person without morals whether he/she is the most educated, most financially strong or for that matter be the poorest of all is just like a person whose utility as a social animal may exist but as human being he/she has long ceased to exist!   

Where is this evident??

I would say almost everywhere. It has torn apart the social mosaic and has led to the deterioration of our cultural values and norms.

When religious intolerance reaches unbearable heights so

much evident in our own Pakistan, Syria, so called Israel just to name a few.
Where vulgarity is confused with Modernization and Fashion, where being foul-mouthed is considered as being outspoken or candid, where filthy language and below the belt talks find their places in so-called professional environments, schools or colleges, where friendships are driven by
lust and desires and where irrational and stupid discussions replace constructive conversations then seeking evidence of moral degeneration is a mere formality as everything is crystal clear and in front of everyone.

Denial to the above is synonymous to being deaf and dumb.

What can be Done??

No matter what religion, caste, color or creed we belong to I believe this thing called Conscience­ (ability to differentiate between right or wrong) is in-built in all of us.
We just need to spend some time to understand and realize this ability through our senses, knowledge, and experience in the context of the acceptable ideology we adhere to.

And this can only happen if we start understanding the worth of being a human being and not a social animal!!
