KNOWING…….

For what it is to be yourself,

One needs to be friends with oneself,

It’s easy to be a hypocrite,

Full of energy, enthusiasm and might!

To be someone whom everyone knows,

A King to whom a slave bows,

An accountant, an engineer, a magician,

Or a teacher, an artist, a musician,

The list is endless,

Of people and  lives, though lifeless,

The art of knowing is to know oneself,

To comprehend your inner self.

Our life is full of premonitions,

But nothing seem to change our perceptions,

Hence to doff one’s hypocrisy,

For some is a fantasy.

To know who you really are?

Is a gift of God so rare.
