With blood and tears I write
About the odyssey of time, full of plight.
As only Time witnessed the gory, agonizing Irony
Which no one, and nothing could defy.
When the Murderer knew naught,
Why he murdered?
And the victim knew naught,
Why his right to live laugh and love was plucked.
Yes, my reader,
I narrate you a tale,
Of death, bereavement and fear,
In which bodies; once innocent lives were left to stale!
Of a City known for Lights,
Harboring every human Soul,
Pashtu’s, Sindhis, Muhajirs, Punjabis, Balochis,
Like a mother who never falters or fail.
This is Karachi our beloved city,
Plundered and ripped, leaving its citizens to cry.
Yesterday precedes today and tomorrow follows today,
Yearning for the times once joyful and merry!
We wish not for anything incredible but,
Peace! Peace within and peace without…
